The Authority consists of seven voting board members, three staff members, and a solicitor. Board members, appointed by the County Commissioners for five-year terms, must either live or own property in Cumberland County. The Solicitor is appointed by the Authority on an annual basis. Additionally, in accordance with Act 101, a Solid Waste Advisory Committee, consisting of representatives from citizen organizations, municipalities, industry, and private solid waste businesses operating in the County, is appointed by the County Commissioners to offer input and guidance in the development and maintenance of the County Waste Management Plan, as required.
