SHIPPENSBURG BOROUGH WEST END, FRANKLIN COUNTY NOTICE   The Cumberland County Tax Assessment Office will no longer maintain the Per Capita Tax Roll for Shippensburg Borough West End, Franklin County (known as District 35).  Please contact the Shippensburg Area School District at 717-530-2700 or the Shippensburg Borough Tax Collector at 717-530-7505.     CLEAN & GREEN DEADLINE   Applications for Act 319, Clean & Green, must be received by the Assessment Office on or before June 1, 2010 to be eligible for preferential land assessment in 2011.  Forms are available on this web site (Tax Assessment Forms, Clean and Green) or in the Assessment Office at the Old Courthouse, One Courthouse Square, Carlisle     CUMBERLAND COUNTY OFFERS REASSESSMENT SPEAKERS    CARLISLE, PA, September 14, 2009 – Cumberland County Commissioners offer to provide County staff to speak to interested municipal and private organizations and groups on the topic of the 2010 Reassessment. In an effort to keep the public informed about the procedure and progress of the 2010 Reassessment, County Commissioners have made senior County assessment personnel available for public presentations through the reassessment process.  Presentations will be tailored to the needs and focus of requestors and include an open question and answer period if desired.  Initial public presentations will be provided at Business Central in Carlisle at 7pm on Wednesday October 14 and Wednesday November 18.  People interested in attending are requested to call 240-6350 to ensure space availability.  Presentations in 2010 will be announced later on the County’s web site, www.ccpa.net.   For further information, contact the Cumberland County Information Management and Technology Office at 240-7736.     PUBLIC NOTICE FOR HOMESTEAD/FARMSTEAD   The Cumberland County Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion applications are available at the Cumberland County Assessment Office and on the website www.ccpa.net.  The Assessment Office is located in the Old Courthouse, One Courthouse Square, Carlisle, PA.  Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Applications must be received by the Assessment Office between December 15, 2009 and March 1, 2010.  Please note that filing of the application is not an automatic approval or automatic tax exclusion.  Approved applications are valid until there is a change in ownership of, or use of, an approved property.  If you have an approved application on file you DO NOT need to reapply.
