History

The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners announced the formation of the CCCW on December 13, 1999.  The CCCW was formalized in 2001.  The Commission has a board of 25 members and meets quarterly.

The Commission is always looking for new members.  Our only requirements are that you are:

1) a resident of Cumberland County
2) willing to participate actively in the Commission's work to increase opportunities for women and girls in Cumberland County

We are a nonpartisan organization that works on a number of women's issues.
