Outpatient Service
What is Outpatient Mental Health Service?
Outpatient services consists of individual, family, and/or group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, and/or medication management appointments when an individual is having mental health difficulties.
Outpatient services usually begin with an intake or initial appointment at a provider's office. During that initial appointment, the individual's needs are assessed with the individual and a plan is developed for treatment.
Who can receive this service?
Any individual within the two county area meeting eligibility requirements who is having mental health difficulties is eligible for outpatient services.
How can I obtain services?
An individual needing services can request an intake and referral by one of the following ways:
- Contact a provider agency directly
- Contact their insurance company for a referral
- Contact one of the Base Service Units located at NHS - The Stevens Center (717.243.6033) or Holy Spirit Behavioral Health Services (717.763.2219)
