Veterans Affairs

The Veterans Affairs Office exists as a source of help for approximately 22,000 veterans who reside in our County.


To provide high quality advice, assistance, counseling, education, outreach and advocacy to eligible veterans and their families for obtaining Federal, State and County veterans' benefits and services in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.

We are accredited with the U.S. Department of Veterans (DVA) and are authorized to submit claims for benefits and represent claimants with processing their claims to include appeals to the DVA Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA). We work closely with the DVA to obtain benefits for our veterans and their surviving spouses. Please feel free to view the information on our web page and contact us for assistance.
