Physician services are available to residents 24 hours a day. Five facility physicians routinely attend residents on the six nursing units. Residents may be attended by physicians of their choice who meet all state and federal regulations and facility policies. Appointments can be scheduled with an in-house podiatrist, ophthalmologist, psychiatrist, and an orthopedic specialist according to residents' needs.
Residents' nursing care is provided by trained staff, consisting of professional registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants, under the leadership of the director of nursing.
Comprehensive care of each resident is designed to maintain wellness through a program based on assessment and care planning.
Quality nursing care is coordinated by the unit nurse manager and RN shift supervisor on a 24 hour basis.
The Restorative Nursing Program at CNRC is designed to help residents work toward independent self care and mobility. Some of the programs available under Restorative Nursing include:
Activities for daily living
Ambulation and transfer
Wheelchair and/or bed mobility
Splint and brace assistance
Range of motion
Feeding and restorative dining
Practicing of balance skills
The Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has achieved and maintained a 100% compliance rate in the use of the CareTracker system since it began using the program. CareTracker helps us to improve our documentation, and care, of our residents.
