Claremont is proud to provide both transitional care and a full-time Rehab department with a caring, creative and professional team of therapists who are trained to recognize individual needs and the compensatory techniques needed for each individual. Therapist competencies and treatment plans address the needs of all adults, ranging in age from younger adults to the seniors.
Our therapy department utilizes specialty treatment programs in conjunction with Accelerated Care Plus™ to speed up the recovery process. Our residents benefit from the use of medical devices by our trained therapy staff with the goal of improving resident quality of life. These medical devices include:
- Electrical Stimulation Treatment
- Shortwave Diathermy
Our physical therapy programs are designed to improve quality of life by promoting functional independence. Programs consist of therapeutic exercises/techniques for strengthening, training in ambulation, balance, pain management, mobility and self-care, and the use of assisted devices as needed.
Occupational Therapists encourage residents to perform their own self care and home management tasks with customized dressing, bathing, eating and energy conservation techniques. We utilize many types of adaptive equipment that can be utilized to maximize self-independence.
Our speech language pathologists provide programs to help our residents with unique abilities achieve increased function with swallowing, communication, cognitive ability, feeding techniques and short-term loss.
Our goal is to rebuild health and independence through our rehabilitation programs including:
- Amputee program
- Assistance with transition back to home
- Cardio & pulmonary rehab
- Core balance and Vestibular training
- General deconditioning
- Low vision
- Pain management
- Post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation training
- Recovery after a fall or injury
