M. L. Ebert, Jr., District Attorney

Matthew P. Smith, Chief Deputy District Attorney

Matt joined the office in 2002 is in charge of the Trial Division of the District Attorney's Office, handling cases assignments and managing the trial case load, overseeing the seized asset forfeitures and insurance fraud cases. Matt is also responsible for approving extraditions for the office. He is the Community Prosecutor for Camp Hill Borough, Middlesex Township and North Middleton Township.
   
Charles J. Volkert, Jr., Chief Deputy District Attorney

Chuck joined the District Attorney’s Office as a full time Assistant District Attorney in 2012 after he earned his degree from Pennsylvania State University-Dickinson School of Law.  Prior to that, he was a Certified Legal Intern for the office. In addition to his duties as with the appellate division, Chuck also handles Right to Know requests, expungement petitions, complaint re-filings and assists with trial duties.  Chuck is assigned to serve as the Community Prosecutor for Lower Allen Township Police Department , New Cumberland Borough Police Department.  

John C. Dailey, Chief Deputy District Attorney

John joined the office as a full time Assistant District Attorney in 2005 following his graduation from Pennsylvania State University-Dickinson School of Law.  He is a member of the trial staff and oversees the county Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program. He is instrumental in the Fast Track ARD program and the County’s DUI Central Court.  John is also the District Attorney's designee for the county's treatment court initiative and DUI/IP programs, as well as the Cumberland County Special Response Team. A retired Navy pilot, John is the Community Prosecutor for East Pennsboro Township, and West Shore Regional.
 
Daniel J. Sodus, Senior Assistant District Attorney

Dan joined the District Attorney’s Office in 2000 when he came from the York County Public Defender’s Office.  Before that he was in private practice in Carlisle.  He is a member of the trial staff with a particular expertise in white collar crime and elder abuse cases, and also handles the electronic monitoring cases.  He is responsible for prosecutions in cases that arise from within the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill.  He is also responsible for Interstate Agreement on Detainer.  Dan is the Community Prosecutor for the Carlisle Borough and Dickinson College.

Scott M. Jocken, Assistant District Attorney

Scott joined the District Attorney's Office in October of 2014 after working as an Assistant Public Defender in Lebanon County.  Scott earned his undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University and earned his law degree from Widener University School of Law.  During his time as a law student, Scott served as both the Junior and Senior Law Clerk to this Office.  In addition to his current duties within the Trial division, Scott also handles Juvenile prosecutions and is the Community Prosecutor for Hampden Township and Silver Spring Township.

Courtney Hair-LaRue, Assistant District Attorney

Courtney joined the office as a full time Assistant District Attorney in 2016 after working as an Assistant District Attorney in both Lebanon and Adams Counties.  Courtney earned her undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College and her law degree from Widener University School of Law.  Courtney is the community prosecutor for Shippensburg Borough, Shippensburg University, Mt. Holly Spring Borough, Newville Borough, and Shiremanstown Borough.  In addition, she also is assigned to the Cumberland County Drug Task Force and Insurance Fraud Unit.

Paul Primrose, Assistant District Attorney

Paul is a part-time Assistant District Attorney.  He joined the Office in 2017.  In addition to prosecuting Protection from Abuse/Indirect Criminal Contempt cases, he is assigned a domestic violence caseload as a member of the trial team. Prior to joining the Office, he was a family law attorney in private practice, and negotiated research contracts for the Pennsylvania State University.

Lauren Perchinski, Assistant District Attorney

Jennifer A. Robinson, Assistant District Attorney

Jennifer joined the District Attorney’s Office in 2018 after working as an assistant counsel with the Governor’s Office of General Counsel. Jennifer earned an undergraduate degree in criminal justice from Penn State Harrisburg; she graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2014. As a law student, Jennifer was a board member of the Widener Law Journal and worked as a certified legal intern at the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office.  Jennifer handles general prosecutions and is the community prosecutor for Middlesex Township and North Middleton Township.
