Lifetime Dog Licenses

Instead of purchasing the yearly license, a dog owner can apply for a Lifetime Dog License. There are two options available to obtain the Lifetime Dog License. The dog owner chooses either a tattoo number to be placed on the inner part of the dog's right hind leg, or the implantation of a microchip as the means of permanent identification.

The cost to purchase a Lifetime License is $51.50 if Productive, and $31.50 if Neutered or Spayed. Again, a discounted rate is offered to individuals 65 and older, or individuals with certain disabilities. The cost then would be, $31.50 if Productive, and $21.50 if Neutered or Spayed.

A Lifetime Dog License requires additional information and paperwork and can not be purchased online. If one is interested in obtaining the Lifetime Dog License, please download our Lifetime Dog License Application which can be delivered or mailed to our office along with the completed Permanent Identification Verification Form that is obtained from a licensed PA Veterinarian or a licensed PA Kennel.

If one is interested in obtaining the Lifetime Dog License, please contact the County Treasurer's Office for further details. 717.240.6380
