Activities and Community Events

The activities program at Claremont provides an array of choices to meet individual needs and fulfill specific interests.
There are gardens for every taste at Claremont, from the large vegetable garden to ones in the back of our facility to the four smaller enclosed courtyard gardens, and the large birds/butterflies garden off the rear patio.  Our newest garden, the Evelyn T. Brenneman Memorial garden, made possible by a generous bequest is decorated seasonally by residents and guests alike.  Residents enjoy starting plants to be placed in our gardens and then monitoring their growth.  Master Gardeners assist in many ways throughout the growing season.
Whether a sports enthusiast, animal lover, or musically minded, residents will find a variety of activities to enrich their lives at Claremont!  We offer training for those interested in gaining computer skills. We have a Computer Cafe group that meets regularly. We also offer individual instruction by appointment, to setup an email account or to surf the Internet at your own pace.  A day on the town involves restaurant and shopping outings, a trip to the movies or theater.  Residents are also given the opportunity to spend time with volunteers during one-to-one visits.   Our monthly calendar shows some of the onsite activities our residents enjoy.  To discover what else Claremont has going on, you may also enjoy reading our monthly newsletter.
