As a condition of the sentence, offenders will be under rules and conditions from the Court which are monitored by their probation or parole officer. The probation or parole officer may meet with the offender in their home, their place of employment, in the community, or in the probation office. Offenders may be subject to random urine or breath screens, or be required to obtain a drug/alcohol evaluation, and comply with all recommended treatment. Officers may also review employment, treatment, and payment of costs, fines, and restitution to ensure compliance with the sentencing order. The Cumberland County Adult Probation Department has several special programs to target specific groups of offenders.
