Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Programs

A specialized unit of Adult Probation and Parole officers processes and supervises Driving Under the Influence (DUI) cases in Cumberland County. Typically, DUI offenders must attend an Alcohol Highway Safety Program (DUI School) lasting 12-1/2 to 15 hours in duration. Each offender must undergo an alcohol evaluation, by an approved, licensed drug and alcohol provider, and comply with any Court-recommended counseling. Additionally, all assessed costs and fines, and in the case of most multiple offenders, must be paid-in-full or in strict compliance with a payment schedule prior to reinstatement of the offender's driver’s license.
