We will treat your loved one with dignity and respect while they are in our Dementia unit. Here at Claremont, we have a dedicated secured Dementia unit with unique activities, therapies, and care to enhance residents lives.
Our goal is to provide each resident with the opportunity to participate in an activity which represents their needs, preferences and adaptations to their abilities. We use a holistic approach with our residents, providing activities on all levels including:
Upon admission, your loved one will be assessed for physical, occupational, and speech therapy needs. This process will promote their independence and safety. Our staff will continue to monitor each resident for any signs of decline in their function and refer them for therapy services as needed.
Respite care is an available service at the same cost as the daily rate. This service allows loved ones to take a needed break from their daily caregiving roles. There are Medical Assistance waiver programs available for respite care from the Office of Aging, Veterans Affairs Office and Hospice.
Please visit the Admissions section to start the straight-forward admission process. Residents eligible for admission will have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other dementia-related diagnosis. As part of our pre-admission process, we will schedule a face-face evaluation with your loved one in their current care setting prior to admission. After the evaluation, our Interdisciplinary Team will meet to discuss whether or not your loved one would benefit from our specialized unit.
