Amnesty Days Page Header 276x725

It is the objective of this unit to serve the victims of crime and all citizens of this county, by enforcing and maximizing the collections of court-ordered costs, fines, and restitution in an efficient and cost-effective manner.  The never-ending pursuit of achieving the highest level of collections enhances the integrity of the courts, discourages non-compliance by defendants, and assists in restoring victims for the financial loss they suffered as an involuntary participant in the criminal justice system.

  • Hold defendants accountable and increase the amount of restorative justice experienced by victims of crime through effective collection of fines, costs and victim restitution
  • Designate the establishment of offender's payment terms as a uniform, administrative process based on the defendant's ability to pay
  • Improve collections through consistent use of best practices, applied progressively to delinquent balances
