The golf outing was held on Friday, September 28, 2018 and we had a great turnout, with 86 golfers. The day started a little cool, but the sun came out late morning and the weather was great. The team of Paul Wilson, Kevin Rucker, Kelly Kelch and Fay Fazal, won the outing with a score of 51. The day ended with a delicious pork and beef dinner prepared by Nolo's. This year we raised over $5000 for environmental education efforts in the County. Thank you to all participants and hole sponsors! See you next year!
Each year the Conservation District organizes a golf tournament to raise money for environmental education activities in the County. The money is used for scholarships, the Envirothon and other educational efforts. Our goal each year is to raise enough money provide three $500 college scholarships for Cumberland County students. Since we started the annual golf tournament in 2003, we have raised over $31,000.
