The Cumberland County Bureau of Elections is open to the public during normal business hours. Walk-ins are always welcome or you can schedule an appointment online or by calling our office at 717.240.6385.

  • Registering voters
  • Conducting elections
  • Maintaining the registration of all voters
  • Preparing notices of elections and lists of offices
  • Accepting / verifying nomination petitions
  • Preparing official and specimen ballots
  • Administering the Campaign Expenditure Act

Additional Responsibilities

  • Establishing voting precincts
  • Locating polling places
  • Training election officers to staff the polls on Election Day
  • Preparing all election supplies to be used at the polls on Election Day
